Luan de Burgh

 

Luan de Burgh is a voice teacher and communication coach - he is a guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and teaches Personal Voice Power for Bespoke Business at London's Central School of Speech and Drama, where he also teaches on the MA Voice Studies course and works with the Knowledge Transfer project on Voice in the Workplace.  Furthermore, Luan teaches voice at the Guildford School of Acting, the Urdang Academy, and has taught at East 15. 

Luan coaches a portfolio of private clients ranging from those in politics and business to medicine, law, media, and academia. At present his clients include two Members of Parliament.

Luan trained as an actor at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, the cole Jacques Lecoq in Paris and worked in the theatre for ten years before gaining an M.A. in Voice and Speech at the Central School of Speech and Drama.  He is also a qualified EFL teacher (CELTA - University of Cambridge, Grade A) and holds an M.A. in History from King's College, London.

Luan is also a voice over artist (London based) and has a 'well paced, warm, educated and persuasive voice.'

He has voiced numerous documentaries, corporate films and training manuals, talking books, commercials, language aides and more besides and has been on radio many times including regular appearances on London's LBC 97.3.

Previous clients include:  BBC, LBC 97.3, CBC, UPC TV, Soundings Audio Books, Calibre Talking Books, Disky Communications, Johnson & Johnson, Bellway Homes, Manchester City Central, Piaggio Avanti, Royal Norwegian Air Force, HMSO Valuation Office, Visiontext...
